It has been too long since I have written here and as the holidays roll around, I always come back. I have been preparing steadily for two week for my favorite day of the year. The food, the drinks, the fall colors, the aroma… the most decadent of all our days. A day filled with warmth and family and home. This holiday at its core embodies all of the things that are right about the human experience. To be thankful for what we have, who we are and who is around us. It gets lost all too often in the shuffle. We see the long lines at the stores, accompanied by unsmiling faces and just get disheartened. I too have, on occasion succumb to dismay, but on that day where we feast and laugh, it all melts away. I would just like to extend warm wishes from our family to yours… may your holidays be filled with love and togetherness, may your cup run over with the bounty of all you love and may the people nearest to you be the ones you most treasure. Take the time to enjoy all around you, let your senses absorb the wonder that is this life and with a kind spirit and a generous heart, spring you in the holiday season.
